Welcome to OMENTIN

The Ore Mining and Environmental Technology Information Network (OMENTIN) is a neutral forum serving the information exchange of mining experts, environmentalists and interested individuals.

It was started as a EU 5th Research Framework project after the Baia Mare cyanide accident to improve the cross border information flow and to contribute to the prevention of future accidents by bringing together diverse expertise and opinions.

Networking activities started with the close collaboration of six project partners, but they are open to all interested individuals and organisations
